What is the best anti-virus product? This is not an easy question. There are many fine products on the market today. Depending which review you read you will get a different list of "Best" programs. We have tried the following programs and they all work well. Avast!, Trend Micro, Bit Defender, Kaspersky , and AVG. For those who are computer literate NOD32 is a fine choice.

However, the "best" as far as effectiveness in detecting virus is Kaspersky. It detects what others miss! Therefore, this product must be our 1st recommendation.

Our 2nd choice would have to be NOD32. It works very well, has a small footprint and does not interfere with program loads.

The big names in this area are Norton and McAfee, we do NOT recommend these resource hogs!

The best anti-virus for the money is grisofts AVG, it is FREE. This product is rated as high as the top selling products.

Another free product that needs to be included here is Lavasoft's Ad-Aware SE Personal. This is a FREE spy-ware scanner.
